Chicken and vegetable broth

Cookware:

7 Qt Saladmaster Titanium Pot

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 chicken
  • 1 leek
  • 1 turnip
  • 1 parsnip
  • 1 nabicol
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 1 branch of celery
  • 3 liters of water

Elaboration

  • Peel the vegetables
  • Put the chicken in the 7 Qt Saladmaster Titanium Pot, cold
  • Add the potatoes
  • Include turnip, parsnip, nabicol, carrots and leek
  • Put tomatoes
  • Incorporate water
  • Add salt to taste
  • Add the celery
  • Cover the pot
  • Put to heat to medium power
  • When you click intensely lower the power to the minimum
  • Cook for 45 minutes
  • Remove the chicken and vegetables
    Options:
  • This broth can be used to take as a consommé by lengthening the cooking to 2 hours to concentrate the protein of the meat
  • Turkey or chicken can be used instead of chicken for a more or less intense flavor
  • Chicken meat can be crumbled to cook croquettes
  • Vegetables can be taken apart as boiled
  • The broth can be used to cook rice, noodles, stews…
